So here’s a sketch of a superhero. Story is that I’ve been wanting to do something superhero related for about a week now.
This is a reinvention of an old character of mine from seventh grade called Midget-Man. I had a really short friend who asked me to make him into a super hero, I only asked for info to get me started. He gave me the name and told me that he had to be an actual dwarf superhero. I said okay and did it. It turned out a lot more simple than this but I liked what I had done and made several mini-comics about the dude.
I reused similar character designs and the logo years ago in this piece. So now he’s become Kid Knight, and turned into a 14-year-old vigilante. His arch-nemesis has become his quasi-best friend/anti-hero and he now has an older sister who helps him out. In my head, he’s Robin (Tim Drake) without Batman.
Last night I had a little movie playing in my head before I actually went to sleep. It seemed perfect for a one-shot and more scenes played out. I could see where a story like this would go. It wouldn’t be super serious but would tackle very serious character moments. Since all my summer comics plans were knocked out, I have more of a blank slate to fill. I can pretty much do anything before CHIBUYA! and ALoF start back up again in September.
